NANCY
FAIRCLOUGH,
CN
Nancy
is a Certified Nutritionist whose passion
is to help people live a long, healthy and
high quality life. She has been working
in the nutrition field for over five years
and sees a transformation toward preventative
health in our society. As disease has become
commonplace and our kids are being diagnosed
with diseases which were once only found
in adults, this transformation is critical.
We have too long relied on the "quick fix"
and are now starting to see how important
prevention is and how nutrition is the basis
of that. Nancy is dedicated to reaching as
many people as possible through speaking to
companies and other organizations and teaching in schools. Nancy regularly attends nutrition
conferences across the nation to keep abreast
of the latest discoveries and natural therapies.
She is a member of the Douglas County
School District's Health Advisory Committee.
MISSION
STATEMENT
To educate individuals, families, children
and groups on the importance of prevention,
the impact food has on our health and the
understanding of Whole Food Nutrition.
PHILOSOPHY
My
passion is to help people understand the
amazing healing capabilities of the human
body - WITHOUT DRUGS! If we take care of
ourselves and realize that the "quick fixes"
may do us more harm than good in the long
run, we can age more gracefully, stay healthier,
and prevent disease. Whole foods - full
of the necessary vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals,
antioxidants, flavonoids, etc. can help
us restore and maintain excellent health.
While good nutrition directly affects the
body, our mind has an enormous impact on
our health as well. Stress is not the only
factor; all our thoughts have an effect
on our health.

WHAT
IS A CERTIFIED
NUTRITIONIST?
Certified Nutritionists take a holistic approach
to health and must meet rigorous standards
of performance, including passing a Comprehensive
Certification Exam and maintaining a code
of ethics. The focus is on the individual,
helping clients improve their own health
and prevent disease. CNs rely on the ODA
(Optimum Daily Allowance) which is quite
different than the RDA (Recommended Daily
Allowance). Research indicates that most
peoples' nutrient needs are well in excess
of the RDA. CNs are educated in vitamin
toxicity and their dangerous interactions.
Most diseases, as well as the need to take
drugs for a disease, can be prevented through
nutrition.
